Made in Nepal vs. Made in India – What’s the Difference?

Wai Wai is produced in both Nepal and India, but the two versions taste noticeably different. The Nepal-made Wai Wai uses the original recipe and seasoning blend developed by CG Foods in Kathmandu, with a distinctly toastier, more umami-forward flavor profile. Three Ways to Eat Wai Wai

• Dry & Crunchy (the classic): Lightly crush the noodle cake inside the pack, add the masala, chili powder, and seasoned oil sachets, seal and shake. Eat straight from the bag — no cooking needed.
• Hot Soup: Boil 300–350 ml of water, add noodles and all sachets, cook 2–3 minutes. Finish with a squeeze of lime and fresh green chili.
• Quick Chowmein: Boil and drain the noodles, then stir-fry with onion, green chili, egg or vegetables. Add the sachets at the end for seasoning and a squeeze of lime.
